Heartline Horse Training

Horses have held a place inside of me since I was two years old. I don't remember that particular first meeting. I do, however, have a photo of me in a t-shirt and diapers, holding with two chubby fists on to a rope that was attached to the halter of a Shetland pony, standing in the Arizona desert. I went through a journey many of us do: lessons, mucking stalls in trade for a ride on a friend's horse, baby sitting to earn enough money for lessons, watching (and then later participating in) horse shows, getting certified as an instructor, getting a first horse (and then a second, third and fourth!), experiencing falling off, and getting back on. A lot.

I've had the pleasure to learn about and experience western riding, working cattle, leading trail rides, managing large herds, showing in Hunt Seat Equitation and Dressage, taking jumping lessons, and working with many different breeds of horses and people from all over the world.

Currently, after having worked with thousands of horses and riders for the past 20 years, I am enjoying giving private lessons in Colorado, as well as teaching at clinics with my husband Mark Rashid, throughout the United States.

What you will experience:

~A private lesson that integrates aspects of both education for your horse, and yourself. I travel to your barn or home. A lesson typically lasts one hour, though if the horse needs more time, we can always go longer.

~Over 15 years of learning and teaching with Mark Rashid. I've spent four  years assisting with clinics he gives both here in the U.S. and abroad. I continue to evolve in my own understanding of the principles by co-teaching with him at clinics.

~Your horse can benefit from The Masterson Method®, a form of bodywork for horses. I am a Certified Masterson Method® Practitioner.

~Knowledge and experience based on over 25 years of teaching about and learning from horses.

~A broad range of information for your questions about: saddle fit, equine behavior, rider balance, building confidence (and much more).

~An emphasis on creating a safe, open and informative learning environment for you and your horse.
